The more you use Facebook the worse you feel

How are you feeling today? Are you feeling unsatisfied with what life has given you? Does Facebook have you all up in your feelings? Are all of your Facebook friends doing creative, fun looking things to pass the time while stuck in the house in your pajamas for the 7th day in a row talking to yourself in the mirror.
The average user spends almost an hour a day on Facebook. During this time with all the stay-at-home orders, I’m sure this number has risen. The research shows that the more you use Facebook to maintain personal relationships, the worse you end up feeling i.e., the pajamas for the 6th day in a row. While the more you engage in your “real world” social networks, the better you feel, but we can’t do this right now because of “the thing”.

The researchers say “Exposure to the carefully curated images from others’ lives, leads to negative self-comparison, and the sheer quantity of social media interaction may detract from more meaningful real-life experiences.”
So maybe when we are all able to leave our domiciles and return to the real world, whatever that looks like these days, we will be a society of self loathing hoarders with an abundant amount of toilet paper to wipe away the tears of shame after realizing how many pounds we packed on while sitting on the couch watching old reruns of Little House on the Prairie. Or maybe that’s just me.
