Parenting Advice: Don’t let them get your cookie

My oldest, which is 11 now, came home from school and told me that;

“All the boys at school were chasing my cookie”.

“Boys will always be chasing your cookie.” I told her “Never let them get it!”

But being the curious person that I am,(and also trying to be a responsible parent) I also inquired to what she was talking about. With all the new terminology that is floating around, I definitely feel like I’m out of touch with the youth. Turns out she has a Shopkins pin that has a light on the end and it projects a cookie onto a surface. Boy, was I relieved.

“All the boys at school were chasing my cookie”

This is one of those life lessons that I hope to have implanted deep into her sub-conscience, so that one day when she needs it most, it will creep up on her like a brick wall and get her back on track. As for now…

“Whatever you do, Don’t let them get your Cookie!”
